Description

This 7-day journey begins in Amritsar, where you explore the revered Golden Temple, Wagah Border, and Jallianwala Bagh. The tour then moves to Dalhousie, a charming hill town known for scenic spots like Subhash Bowli, Panjpulla, and the old churches. A day trip to Khajjiar, famously known as the "Mini Switzerland of India", introduces lush meadows, Khajjiar Lake, and panoramic views of Chamba Valley.

Next, a scenic excursion to Chamba reveals sacred temples like Laxmi Narayan and Chamunda Devi, along with serene sites like Chamera Lake and Bhuri Singh Museum. The tour continues to Dharamshala, where one visits the Dalai Lama Temple, Dal Lake, and Kangra Art Museum. In Mcleodganj, explore monasteries, local markets, and the Bhagsunag Temple.

The trip ends with a return to Amritsar, leaving you with a blend of spiritual, cultural, and natural memories from the majestic Himalayas.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at AMRITSAR

Meet a representative at a pre-decided location in Amritsar. Get transferred to your pre-booked hotel where you can check in and relax for some time. Start your sightseeing by visiting Golden Temple. Golden Temple is the holiest Gurudwara in Sikhism. After that we will proceed to visit Wagah Border. This is border is between India and Pakistan. After that we will proceed to Jallianwala Bagh and it's museum. After that return to hotel. Dinner at hotel. Night stay at Amritsar.  

Day 2

Amritsar to Dalhousie 

After breakfast, we will proceed to Dalhousie. The distance between Amritsar and Dalhousie is 205km. Apprx 5 - 6 hrs required. Today we will visit Jandri Ghat Palace, Bara Pathar, Subhash Bowli, Panjpulla, GPO Dalhousie, Subhash Chowk, Satdhara, and Dalhousie's old church. The intriguing pathways of these destinations are quite difficult, and many like trekking to these close areas.  Enjoy local foods and take unforgettable photos in a traditional regional dress.  You may go fishing with the locals & groove through the valleys to experience the satiating fauna. After that proceed to hotel. After check in formalities your are free for rest of the day. Dinner at hotel. Night stay Dalhousie.

Day 3

Dalhousie - Khajjar - Dalhousie

Today, we are heading to Khajjiar, Himachal's mystical area. Khajjiar is a popular highland station with spectacular natural canyons. This land has wealthy, luxuriant meadows, thick valleys, and paradise-like ice stretches.  Khajjiar commands an unparalleled panorama of the enthralling Chamba Valley, which provides guests with a serene setting.  The combined lakes, woodlands, and grassland habitats will catch your interest.  Our next spots will be Dainkund Peak, Panjpulla, Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, and Bakrota Hills.  The following locations, home to several Flora and Fauna species, dominate the aura.  Many daring excursions await you in Khajjiar for mountaineering, hiking, and camping, while Dalhousie offers opportunities for paragliding.  The Nag Temple Khajjiar Lake is among the most efficient attractions you will discover here.  We'll return to Dalhousie in the evening & spend the night at the hotel..

Day 4

Dalhousie - Chamba Valley - Dalhousie

After breakfast, we will travel to Chamba, Himachal's most exquisite area. This region is popular for Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati's territory. First, we will cross the shady valleys to arrive at Chouhan, known because of its epitomic natural scenery. Then, at Laxmi Narayan Temple, you may pray and receive blessings. Finally, we reach Sui Mata Temple, recognised for its outstanding carving and soulful sculpting, which will await us. Next, we visit Chamunda Devi Temple, Counted as one of the most powerful Shakti-peethas. We will also visit Rang Mahal & Gandhi Gate, where Mughal architectural tranquillity combines historical marvels. Afterwards, we'll visit the Chamera Lake, Church of Scotland, Hari Raya Temple, and Bhuri Singh Museum in Chamba & Chaugan's renowned ground. The following locations demonstrate the hilly region's high level of religious authenticity. By the evening, we will return to our hotel.

Day 5

Dalhousie to Dharamshala 

See-through your hotel windows to see the wonderful views of misty mountain tops mixed with emerald landscapes. The Dalai Lama Temple will be the first of many magnificent spots for us to discover in Dharamshala. Then we'll go to the Kangra Art Museum, where you can learn about the significance of this heritage hamlet and its representations in art. Dal Lake will be next on the itinerary, offering a tranquil setting for a camping trip. This is the home of the Dalai Lama, & here you can experience the relaxing effect. In the evening, you may shop at the local markets on muddy terrains. After the journey, spend the night in a hotel.

Day 6

Dharamshala - Macleodganj - Dharamshala

Lower Dharamshala will be awaiting us today as we prepare to explore its inventive spots. Visit the Norbulingka, War Memorial, Tapovan, Tibetan Monasteries, BhagsuNag temple, and HPCA. You may chat with the people here, and numerous homestays are available to experience rural life. At adjacent eateries, you may sample local cuisine such as Siddu, Trout fish, Dham, and other freshly made dishes. Later, we'll journey to Mcleodganj, where exquisite locations enhance your trip vibes. There is a valley with rich wild species, and the monasteries on the high slopes will appreciate your traditional desires. You may also visit local markets for the best-handcrafted kitchen equipment. In the evening, we'll return to the hotel and spend the night.

Day 7

Dharamshala To Amritsar return

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and you can then transfer to Amritsar for your onward journey. This marks the end of your tour with wonderful memories.

  • To operate the tour successfully for the interest of the tourist, the tour operator may change the programme. Decision of the tour operator is final and the tourist to abide the same during the tour.
  • Aikatan Tours & Travels reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbance that occurred (i.e weather condition, political condition, or any others) without changing the total number of days and without compromising any service.
  • If the planned tour route gets changed due to political insurgency or natural calamity and if the driver/car/hotel charges extra for alternate route to reach the destination, then the tourists should pay the extra cost.
  • All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, permits, etc. are not a part of the package.
  • Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package. Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal. Any kind of drink (alcoholic, aerated, or mineral water) is not included in the package cost.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations. Travellers littering may be fined.
  • Usage of the swimming pool at any accommodation is strictly according to government guidelines.
  • The exact location will be shared with you post-booking.
  • Carry dry snacks/food, granola bars, etc. from home. Carry a regular and another insulated water bottle with you, so that you can refill.
  • Any breakage or damage of any items in the resort or during tour will be charged at actuals.
  • All international and domestic airfare, visa fees, airport tax, or any kind of insurance cover is not a part of the package.
  • If in case any traveller wants to or decides to leave the trip in the middle, all the expenses from that point onwards will be borne by the traveller. Neither the operator nor Aikatan Tours & Travels will be held responsible for such decisions or for any refund.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
  • Children above 8 years of age will be considered as adults only. There are no charges for children below 8 years of age
  • The extra adventure activities and ropeways/cable cars will be at your own cost and are not included in the tour.
  • Any kind of Monumental charges are not included in the package.
  • Because of any reason, political, natural or personal, if the tour or a particular activity is not completed, no refund will be processed.
  • AC doesn't work in the Hilly Areas
  • Aikatan Tours & Travels will not pay any other extra sightseeing charges which is not mentioned in the itinerary.
