Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival In Chandigarh

Reach the pre-decided spot in Chandigarh where a representative will help you with the smooth transfers to the hotel. Check in to the hotel, rest for a while and then you will meet with your fellow riders and get to know each other better. You will then meet your road captain who will be leading the entire trip and will brief you about the terrain and will draw out a day-wise final plan. After the briefing, you will be introduced to the Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycles that you will be riding for the rest of the tour. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Chandigarh.

Day 2

Chandigarh To Narkanda

Start early to beat the traffic out of Chandigarh and head towards the Himalayas on the Himalayan Expressway. On the way, you will be passing through Chail, a hill station in the lower Himalayan range and home to beautiful flower orchards. After a short lunch break, you will head towards Narkanda, known as the fruit bowl of Himachal Pradesh. Apple and cherry trees line the roadsides and the tall Deodhar fir trees spread their sweet aroma all around. End the day after reaching the hotel in Narkanda.

Day 3

Narkanda To Chhitkul

Wake up early in the morning to experience one of the most beautiful sunrises. After a delicious breakfast, you will leave for one of the most beautiful views of Kinnaur Valley. Travel along the Sutlej river till Karcham from where you will take a right turn towards Chitkul following the Baspa river.

Chitkul is the last inhabited village before the Indo-China border and here you can also visit the famous ‘Hindustan ka Akhri Dhaba’ for an amazing meal. Overnight stay and dinner at hotel/homestay in Chitkul.

Day 4

Chhitkul To Nako

After having a hearty breakfast, you will leave for Nako. Drive through the Indo - Tibetan highway along with the small picturesque hamlets like Reckong Peo, which is the main town of the Kinnaur district. Pass through Khab Bridge that marks the confluence of Spiti and the Satluj River. You will then proceed to Nako which is the last village of Kinnaur Valley. Upon reaching Nako, Visit the Nako Gompa situated at the banks of the serene Nako Lake which was established in the 11th century.

Overnight stay at a hotel/ homestay in Nako.

Day 5

Nako To Kaza

Wake up in the morning and have a healthy breakfast. Hit the roads and just as you cross Sumdo you will be entering the Spiti Valley. Just 3 Km after Sumdo, take a detour on the right through the gate to visit the 500-Year-Old Mummy in the Gue Village. Stop by the "Ajanta of the Himalayas' - Tabo Monastery, which is the oldest continuously operating Buddhist enclave in both India and the Himalayas. Later, start a scenic drive towards the secluded land of Pin Valley - which houses the exotic and endangered Himalayan species including the Snow leopard and Siberian ibex, Tibetan Gazelle, etc. You will then proceed towards Kaza where you will be spending the night at a hotel.

Day 6

Kaza Sightseeing

Post early morning breakfast, go out to explore the spectacular beauty of Kaza. Visit the Key Gompa Monastery nestled in a bowl-shaped valley of the small village Langza in Spiti valley. You will then go farther up the valley to the picturesque village of Kibber that will lead your way to the Chicham Bridge, the highest bridge in Asia. Langza is considered to be one of the highest villages in the world with a motorable road and the nearby Komic Village is the highest village. Hikkim is close to Kaza which is one of the highest year-round inhabited locations in India. Return back to your hotel in Kaza for an overnight stay.

Day 7

Kaza To Kalpa Via Dhankar

After breakfast, you will be retracing your path back towards the apple-orchard dotted town of Kalpa. Stop by the majestic fort monastery at Dhankar that is situated amongst the rocky spurs and is said to be 1000 years old. Travel along the Spiti river and continue towards the Kinnaur Valley leaving behind the Spiti Valley to reach Powari. At Poweri take a right turn towards RecKong Peo and continue uphill to reach Kalpa. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kalpa.

Day 8

Kalpa To Shimla

Post breakfast at the hotel, you will head towards Shimla, known as the fruit bowl of Himachal Pradesh. Travel through the slithering roads following the Satluj and passing the rich Deodhar forests to reach Shimla. On reaching Shimla, check in to the hotel and take some rest.  Overnight stay at a hotel in Shimla.

Day 9

Shimla To Chandigarh

After breakfast in the morning, check out from the hotel and start your way back to Chandigarh from Shimla. Once you reach Chandigarh, this will mark the end of your amazing tour to Spiti Valley.

Know Before You Go For Tour Package

  • Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests, hotel change, etc., before the beginning of the trip.
  • The hotels are subject to their availability. In case they are not available, the travellers will be accommodated in a property of similar standard.
  • Per head cost may change due to number of guests.
  • porter’s charges, tips, medical cost and any cost of medical assistance (if any), alcoholic beverages, any kind of entry fee, Forest Pass, Cable car charges, boating charges, laundry charges, Permission cost, Toll tax, and any other pony-dandy charges, those are of personal nature and anything not included in the package includes.
  • To operate the tour successfully for the interest of the tourist, the tour operator may change the programme. Decision of the tour operator is final and the tourist to abide the same during the tour.
  • Aikatan Tours & Travels reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbance that occurred (i.e weather condition, political condition, or any others) without changing the total number of days and without compromising any service.
  • If the planned tour route gets changed due to political insurgency or natural calamity and if the driver/car/hotel charges extra for alternate route to reach the destination, then the tourists should pay the extra cost.
  • All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, permits, etc. are not a part of the package.
  • Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package. Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal. Any kind of drink (alcoholic, aerated, or mineral water) is not included in the package cost.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations. Travellers littering may be fined.
  • Usage of the swimming pool at any accommodation is strictly according to government guidelines.
  • The exact location will be shared with you post-booking.
  • Carry dry snacks/food, granola bars, etc. from home. Carry a regular and another insulated water bottle with you, so that you can refill.
  • Any breakage or damage of any items in the resort or during tour will be charged at actuals.
  • All international and domestic airfare, visa fees, airport tax, or any kind of insurance cover is not a part of the package.
  • If in case any traveller wants to or decides to leave the trip in the middle, all the expenses from that point onwards will be borne by the traveller. Neither the operator nor Aikatan Tours & Travels will be held responsible for such decisions or for any refund.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
  • Children above 8 years of age will be considered as adults only. There are no charges for children below 8 years of age
  • The extra adventure activities and ropeways/cable cars will be at your own cost and are not included in the tour.
  • Any kind of Monumental charges are not included in the package.
  • Because of any reason, political, natural or personal, if the tour or a particular activity is not completed, no refund will be processed.
  • AC doesn't work in the Hilly Areas
  • Aikatan Tours & Travels will not pay any other extra sightseeing charges which is not mentioned in the itinerary.
