This delightful tour begins with a visit to Darjeeling, the "Queen of Hills," where you'll enjoy breathtaking sunrise views from Tiger Hill, visit historic sites like Ghum Monastery and Batasia Loop, and explore local attractions like the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling Zoo, and bustling Darjeeling Mall.

Next, head to Gangtok, the vibrant capital of Sikkim, known for its stunning landscapes and vibrant markets. You'll explore M.G. Marg and enjoy scenic drives through tea gardens and viewpoints along the way.

The highlight of the tour is an excursion to Tshangu Lake (Changu Lake), a mesmerizing glacial lake nestled at 12,313 ft, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. You'll also visit the revered Baba Mandir, making this journey a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural experiences.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

NJP/Bagdogra To Darjeeling

DARJEELING & KALIMPONG

Pickup from NJP and proceed to Darjeeling. On the way to the hotel the scenic beauty will tempt your peace of mind. After freshen up you can take a little walk to the Darjeeling mall and enjoy the beautiful evening over there. Dinner will be served at hotel. Night stay at Darjeeling.

 
Day 2

Darjeeling Local Sightseeing

DARJEELING & KALIMPONG

On the second day of the journey, wake up in the early morning and get ready to explore the queen of hills Darjeeling. First we will start the day with the most demanding view point and that is Tiger Hill to witness the Sun rise and get the beautiful view of the Mt. kanchenjunga. From there, on the way back to the hotel visit Ghum monastery, Ghum station, Batasia Loop. Have breakfast at the hotel and proceed to rest local sightseeing of Darjeeling. On the way places to visit will be Darjeeling station, Darjeeling zoo, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Peace Pagoda, Ropeway, Japanese Temple, Tenzing Norgay Rock. Thereafter you can enjoy the evening at Darjeeling mall and local markets.Dinner wil be served at the hotel. Night stay at Darjeeling.

 
Day 3

Darjeeling To Gangtok

After morning breakfast proceed to Jorebunglow, Lamahatta, Peshok Tea Garden, Lover’s point sightseeing. After that proceed to Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Darjeeling to Gangtok distance 98km. After check in hotel you are free for rest of the day. Enjoy the M.G.Marg at evening. Night stay at Gangtok.

 
Day 4

Explore Tshangu Lake, Baba Mandir

After morning breakfast proceed to Tshangu Lake, Baba Mandir. Tshangu Lake or Changu Lake located at an elevation of 12313ft. The lake remains frozen during winter. After full day sightseeing return to Gangtok. You can enjoy the market area for shopping of local handicraft. Night stay at Gangtok.

 
Day 5

Return To NJP/Bagdogra

After morning breakfast return to NJP station or Bagdogra airport with a sweet memory of Darjeeling and Gangtok.

Know Before You Go For Tour Package

  • Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests, hotel change, etc., before the beginning of the trip.
  • The hotels are subject to their availability. In case they are not available, the travellers will be accommodated in a property of similar standard.
  • Per head cost may change due to number of guests.
  • porter’s charges, tips, medical cost and any cost of medical assistance (if any), alcoholic beverages, any kind of entry fee, Forest Pass, Cable car charges, boating charges, laundry charges, Permission cost, Toll tax, and any other pony-dandy charges, those are of personal nature and anything not included in the package includes.
  • To operate the tour successfully for the interest of the tourist, the tour operator may change the programme. Decision of the tour operator is final and the tourist to abide the same during the tour.
  • Aikatan Tours & Travels reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbance that occurred (i.e weather condition, political condition, or any others) without changing the total number of days and without compromising any service.
  • If the planned tour route gets changed due to political insurgency or natural calamity and if the driver/car/hotel charges extra for alternate route to reach the destination, then the tourists should pay the extra cost.
  • All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, permits, etc. are not a part of the package.
  • Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package. Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal. Any kind of drink (alcoholic, aerated, or mineral water) is not included in the package cost.
  • Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations. Travellers littering may be fined.
  • Usage of the swimming pool at any accommodation is strictly according to government guidelines.
  • The exact location will be shared with you post-booking.
  • Carry dry snacks/food, granola bars, etc. from home. Carry a regular and another insulated water bottle with you, so that you can refill.
  • Any breakage or damage of any items in the resort or during tour will be charged at actuals.
  • All international and domestic airfare, visa fees, airport tax, or any kind of insurance cover is not a part of the package.
  • If in case any traveller wants to or decides to leave the trip in the middle, all the expenses from that point onwards will be borne by the traveller. Neither the operator nor Aikatan Tours & Travels will be held responsible for such decisions or for any refund.
  • Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.
  • ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
  • Children above 8 years of age will be considered as adults only. There are no charges for children below 8 years of age
  • The extra adventure activities and ropeways/cable cars will be at your own cost and are not included in the tour.
  • Any kind of Monumental charges are not included in the package.
  • Because of any reason, political, natural or personal, if the tour or a particular activity is not completed, no refund will be processed.
  • AC doesn't work in the Hilly Areas
  • Aikatan Tours & Travels will not pay any other extra sightseeing charges which is not mentioned in the itinerary.
