Day 1

Arrive Jammu

Upon arrival at Jammu railway station our executive will receive you with warm welcome. Our representative will take you to Katra. Reach in Katra check into the hotel. Evening is free leisure time. Have the rest in hotel, have the dinner and stay overnight at the hotel. Katra is a picaresque region in Jammu and Kashmir and it is known for its famed temple of Goddess Vaishno Devi. The temple is highly revered and every year hundreds of tourists travel to this shrine to pay their respects to the Goddess.

Day 2

KATRA

Begin your day with a healthy breakfast. Today you will be proceeding to Banganga to trek for Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan Darshan-one of the most popular pilgrimages of India Situated in the lap of Trikuta Mountains across Katra town at an altitude of around 5200 feet. This temple is located about 12 km away from Katra; to visit this temple one has a pony or Travel by foot / Palkies from Katra. Popular Belief holds that anybody who walks the Himalayan trail to her abode to ask for a boon rarely goes back disappointed. We will visit this temple either by traveling on foot or hire a pony from Katra; the Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine is located in a cave towards the top of the Trikuta Mountains in Jammu- Kashmir. There are three pindies of Mata Mahakali, Mata Mahalakshmi and Mata Mahasaraswati. This is believed to be the only places where these three devis are found in one temple as natural pindies. The yatra follows the path Mata Vaishnodevi took when fleeing from Bhairon. In the evening escort back to hotel, have dinner and stay overnight at hotel in Katra.

Day 3

Arrive Srinanagar

After a healthy morning breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Srinagar. You will then be transferred to a hotel in Srinagar. Once you get checked in, take some rest after the tiresome journey. The remaining day is at leisure so that you can enjoy the stay witnessing the alluring beauty around the hotel. You can also head out to explore the nearby local markets shopping for souvenirs. Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.

Day 4

Srinagar Sightseeing

Wake up to a fabulous view of the snow-capped mountains and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Complete the check-out formalities and get transferred to a beautiful houseboat. Embark on your most awaited stay in Srinagar and complete the check-in formalities. Enjoy a lovely Shikhara ride at Dal Lake and witness the splendid beauty of Srinagar. Explore the local market that is famous for paper mache work, walnut wood carved articles, Kashmiri handicrafts, traditional Dongra jewellery, dry fruits and indulge in some quick shopping. Return back to your houseboat for your dinner.

Day 5

Excursion To Gulmarg

Begin your day early with a delicious breakfast and prepare for upcoming adventures. Proceed to Gulmarg, primarily famous for ski slopes and natural 18 holes golf course, which is also the highest golf course in the world. As you drive towards Gulmarg you can enjoy the splendour of nature and the snowy mountains that accompany you throughout the journey. Once you reach Gulmarg, the most essential thing is to go on the Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Kongdoori and Marry Shoulder. Enjoy the panoramic views floating above the valley and witness nature slowly unveiling its hidden beauty as you rise higher in the cable car. In the evening, drive back to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6

Excursion To Sonmarg

After breakfast at the hotel, prepare yourself for the full-day excursion to the picturesque 'Meadow of Gold’. Popular for the fast-flowing Sindh River, here you can try your hands on fishing to catch the Golden Mahseer fish that is considered to be one of the rarest catch in the world. You can go ahead to enjoy sledging & other snow-related activities at the Thajiwas Glacier or can also opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in snow and ice with your family. After an eventful day building a snowman and throwing snowballs at each other you will be returning to the hotel in Srinagar. You will then be retiring for the day at the hotel in Srinagar.

Day 7

Departure From Srinagar

Have breakfast, check out from the houseboat. You will then be dropped off at your desired location in Srinagar. This concludes your family tour package of Kashmir with unforgettable memories.

Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. The difference in the cost shall be borne by the client in case of any amendment in the package due to an increase in the number of guests, hotel change, etc., before the beginning of the trip.
The hotels are subject to their availability. In case they are not available, the travellers will be accommodated in a property of similar standard.

porter’s charges, tips, medical cost and any cost of medical assistance (if any), alcoholic beverages, any kind of entry fee, Forest Pass, Cable car charges, boating charges, laundry charges, Permission cost, Toll tax, and any other pony-dandy charges, those are of personal nature and anything not included in the package includes.
To operate the tour successfully for the interest of the tourist, the tour operator may change the programme. Decision of the tour operator is final and the tourist to abide the same during the tour.
Aikatan Tours & Travels reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to any kind of disturbance that occurred (i.e weather condition, political condition, or any others) without changing the total number of days and without compromising any service.
If the planned tour route gets changed due to political insurgency or natural calamity and if the driver/car/hotel charges extra for alternate route to reach the destination, then the tourists should pay the extra cost.
All entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, sightseeing, state and entry fees, monument entrances, camera charges, permits, etc. are not a part of the package.
Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package. Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal. Any kind of drink (alcoholic, aerated, or mineral water) is not included in the package cost.
Avoid using plastic bags and maintain the ecological balance of the destinations. Travellers littering may be fined.
Usage of the swimming pool at any accommodation is strictly according to government guidelines.
The exact location will be shared with you post-booking.
Carry dry snacks/food, granola bars, etc. from home. Carry a regular and another insulated water bottle with you, so that you can refill.
Any breakage or damage of any items in the resort or during tour will be charged at actuals.
All international and domestic airfare, visa fees, airport tax, or any kind of insurance cover is not a part of the package.
If in case any traveller wants to or decides to leave the trip in the middle, all the expenses from that point onwards will be borne by the traveller. Neither the operator nor Aikatan Tours & Travels will be held responsible for such decisions or for any refund.
Guidelines issued by the State-Government are to be followed. Social distancing to be maintained. Frequent hand sanitization and use of mask recommended.
ID proof is mandatory for each individual guest at the time of booking, and also upon arrival. PAN card will not be considered as a valid address proof.
Children above 8 years of age will be considered as adults only. There are no charges for children below 8 years of age
The extra adventure activities and ropeways/cable cars will be at your own cost and are not included in the tour.
Any kind of Monumental charges are not included in the package.
Because of any reason, political, natural or personal, if the tour or a particular activity is not completed, no refund will be processed.
